The major prerequisite for how we wanted the entry of Palma Soleada to look and feel was ‘Grand.’ When we designed the layout with Brad from Icon Building Design, it was decided that the entry would become a statement area of the home and that it needed to be impressive. There would be a huge front door, lots of glass, and you would be able to see the pool from the moment you walked into the home. Well, all of those boxes were ticked.
When it came to the styling of our grand entry we told Katrina from De Vere Design Co our thoughts and she executed it perfectly, with incredible ideas of her own. Katrina did a wonderful job styling this space by adding a handful of high quality new items in with some already existing pieces that we had within the home.

A note from Katrina…
An entry way sets the tone for your whole home and WOW does this one tell you all about the people who live here , they are connected to the outside they are connected to the water and they are cool and relaxed people . The entry way greets you like an invitation to spend the afternoon poolside with some cheese and a cheeky cocktail or two. When it came to decorating this space we wanted to make sure it was relaxed , welcoming and comfortable with points you can linger in, such as the hanging chair from Byron Bay Hanging Chairs and bench seat from Castlery. We kept the vibe very natural and open with the addition of some points of interest in the large floor cushion from Aztec House, and the gorgeous pots from both The Balcony Garden and Mowgli Studio. It was very important to highlight the entry way, but to not overshadow the feeling you get when you enter the home and your eyes are drawn to the pool area. The new door mat from Door Mates adds a personlised touch with the name of their house, Palma Soleada, on it. Lastly the rug from Rugs for Good grounds the space with natural jute texture softening the space and anchoring the chair. I think we achieved a space that speaks for the soul of this gorgeous family perfectly.
