Novotel, South Bank, Brisbane

The Novotel South Bank is a located in the heart of the cultural precinct of the city. It is perfectly placed to enjoy Brisbane and it’s authentic river city lifestyle. In just a short walk you can find art galleries, museums, the famous South Bank swimming pools, world class shopping, restaurants and more. The rooms feel huge and are well appointed with lots of variety; from rooms to suites, some even with pool access, and themed rooms. There is a gym as well as a swimming pool, and very easy car parking options. The hotel also has its own restaurant, Spice Central Kitchen & Bar. We enjoyed both the buffet breakfast and dinner menus, as well as the in-room dining at the Novotel. They had a fantastic school holiday program on offer and our three children really enjoyed their art class, and the balloon twisting.

Family Photoshoot with Still By Kaiti

We recently had our annual family photographs taken but the wonderful Still By Kaiti. Kaiti is a family and lifestyle photographer based on the Sunshine Coast. She grew up in our beautiful area and loves to be outside taking photographs, this shines through in her work. Kaiti has a natural eye for light and she captured our particular sunset perfectly. On the day of our family shoot was our 11 year wedding anniversary, so it was particularly important to me that we captured this special time in our lives with our three young children. We felt so relaxed around Kaiti and you can tell that she loves for her subjects to get caught up in the moment, and forget that she is even there. In Kaiti’s words, “This isn’t about a photo session, or even the pictures, it’s about you and your loved ones.”

A Beautiful Mother’s Day Morning Tea

Can you believe how come it’s getting getting to Mother’s Day?!

I was lucky to be apart of a stunning Mother’s Day styled shoot, involving some wonderful, female lead Sunshine Coast businesses. This styled morning tea was set up at my home Palma Soleada, with a green pack drop and pink accents on the table that really popped. Mother’s Day is such an important day to honour the females in our lives who have helped to mould and shape us into the people we are.

Let’s face it Mum’s love to feel spoilt, but most of all they enjoy thgouthfulness and care. I think that a morning tea would be at the top of Mum’s list for ways she would like to celebrate, I know that its at the top of mine!

Hosting a Mexican Dinner Fiesta

Recently we hosted a Mexican dinner party, under the stars, at our home Palma Soleada.

We invited 10 friends to feast on savoury and sweet dishes, including oysters, street corn, prawns, tacos and more. The food was supplied and catered for by Journey Street Food. They were able to take over our kitchen for the evening and create the most delicious experience for our guests. Everything was seamless and ran perfectly, meaning that my husband and I could sit back and enjoy the evening. We drank my very favourite cocktail, a frozen lime margarita which matched perfectly with the food.
