Since before the idea of a third baby was even decided upon, I came up with the plan that if we were ever to be blessed with this bundle, the nursery would have to be Australian themed. We are talking years ago now, that the thought of this room entered my head, so I started collecting blankets and trinkets ‘just in case.’ Knowing how desperately I wanted to expand to a family of five I popped them under my bed and hoped for one day. It didn’t matter if the baby were to be a boy or girl, the room would have the same theme, nostalgic and very Australian. Fast forward to the day after I found out that I was pregnant I headed to the shops, as I have with each pregnancy, to purchase the baby his/her first outfit. I picked out a beautiful, soft all in one suit with tiny koala bears on it… how perfect!
I have had such a pleasure working with Katrina, from De Vere Design Co, on the most delightful Australian themed bedroom for our baby girl. She really took my theme and ran with it, in the dreamiest way possible. I wanted this space to have soft feminine touches, a strong Australian influence and to be functional as well.
The result is a room that I am quite honestly obsessed with. A space where I now go and sit quietly, and think about the first time we will bring our daughter home to her beautiful room.

It was so exciting to finally be able to put the nursery together for Natalie and Ryan. I felt sentimental on the morning I pulled up at their house for the install. When I first walked through the home with Natalie in November last year we entered this room and discussed that it was to be a office, or possibly a nursery if they were lucky enough to add to the already gorgeous family. Fast forward to May 2020 and here we are installing the nursery dreams are made of, choosing to style this room in an Australian theme with a very healthy dose of pink was a great choice. The Sailah Lane art work sets the sweetest mood for the room, calming tones of the wattle and bottle brush paired with a gorgeous Koala, instantly set a soft and fresh pallet for the nursery. In addition the Incy Interiors pink and rose gold furniture adds a touch of luxe to the space. Layered with the hanging rack from Winnie dot adorned with sweet little outfits and textural touches through out the room with cushions , blankets and toys. One of my favourite pieces is the rug we have selected, it is textural and soft, and tops the room off perfectly. The only thing missing from this space is a BABY and we cannot wait to meet her when she arrives.
