In the bustling heart of Surfers Paradise, my daughter and I recently embarked on a journey of love, laughter, and shared adventures at the Novotel Surfer’s Paradise. In this blog piece I am recounting the precious memories we crafted during our Mummy-and-Me stay at this coastal haven.
In the whirlwind of our everyday lives, finding those moments of pure connection with our children becomes a precious pursuit. With the intention of immersing ourselves in uninterrupted bonding, I chose the Novotel Surfers Paradise as the backdrop for our special escape. Nestled, not far, from the golden sands and sparkling waves of Main Beach Surfer’s Paradise, this resort was an idyllic retreat for creating memories that would last a lifetime.
From the moment we stepped into the Novotel, we felt both relaxed and excited to be there. The reception staff, with their warm smiles, set the tone for what would be an unforgettable stay. Our room, which had a bedroom and a bathroom, had breathtaking views of the Pacific. With only 24 hours at the hotel we knew we needed to make the most of every moment.
One-on-one time with our children is not just a luxury; it’s a necessity. During our stay, we headed to Pacific Fair for a spot of Mummy and Daughter shopping. Then we headed to the hotel conference room for a fun movie night watching one of our favourites, Elemental, and enjoying the free popcorn and drinks. That night we had a ‘midnight feast’ (well it wasn’t midnight but that’s what we called it,) in bed. In the morning Chloe and I enjoyed the hotel buffet breakfast, swam in the pool, joined in on the hotel’s cookie decorating class and visited Timezone (which is next door to the hotel). We certainly packed a lot into our 24 hours.
The Novotel has a fun school holiday program, which they bring out each school holiday. The movie night and cookie decorating were both a part of that. They are a great way to have fun, on your child’s level and enjoy special time together.
