Getting There:
Qualia Resort: Your journey to Qualia begins with a scenic flight to Hamilton Island, the gateway to the Whitsundays. The convenience of direct flights from major Australian cities makes the resort easily accessible. Upon arrival, you read to the Qualia desk and a private transfer takes you to Qualia, where the lush landscape and pristine waters serve as a prelude to the luxury that awaits.

Intercontinental Resort: Hayman Island introduces a touch of glamour to your travel itinerary. Accessible by both helicopter and luxury boat transfers, your journey to Intercontinental Resort is as enchanting as the destination itself. The boat transfer is absolutely incredible. Its like a scenic cruise through the Whitsunday Islands and complimentary platters and unlimited alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. .

Accommodations:
Qualia Resort: Picture-perfect private pavilions, each adorned with elegant furnishings and some with private plunge pools, define the accommodation experience at Qualia. Remember that Qualia is an adults only resort and the rooms are suited to two people. The resort’s commitment to luxury and privacy creates an intimate atmosphere for couples and honeymooners, making it an ideal escape for romance. We stayed in the ‘Windward’ pavilion with a pool and stunning view of the ocean. If you are looking to book a vacation to Qualia I would suggest requesting for of the four rooms to the left of the beach house, as they are even known to staff as ‘millionaires row,’ on account of their prime real estate positioning in at the resort.

Intercontinental Resort: Hayman Island, on the other hand, offers an array of opulent rooms, suites and villas, catering to families, groups, and those who seek exclusivity. The spacious accommodations are thoughtfully designed with modern amenities, providing a blend of comfort and sophistication. The Intercontinental experience is perfect for those craving the lap of luxury with a family-friendly touch. There is a huge array of room configurations and they suit a variety of travel dynamics. We stayed in a Two Bedroom Hayman Suite, which was abolsutely stunning. It was by no means our most affordable options, but it was stunning.

The price we paid to stay at Intercontinental Resort was less then what we paid at Qualia, aand that included the cost of accomodating three children.

Dining Delights:
Qualia Resort: Culinary aficionados will find themselves in a haven of gastronomic delights at Qualia. With two gourmet restaurants offering a fusion of Australian and international flavours, guests are treated to a culinary journey that mirrors the beauty of the surroundings. The Long Pavilion’s open-air design allows diners to savour exquisite meals while enjoying the stunning Coral Sea views. I love that oyu can choose to eat your breakfast in the Long Pavilion or have it delivered to your room.

Intercontinental Resort: Hayman Island boasts an array of dining options, from casual beachfront fare to upscale gastronomic experiences. The resort’s commitment to culinary excellence shines through its diverse restaurants, providing guests with a variety of choices to suit their tastes. Whether you’re in the mood for fresh seafood or international cuisine, Hayman Island has it all. HEre you will find four restaurants, each with their own ambience and flavours.

Activities and Experiences:
Qualia Resort: The tranquility of Hamilton Island sets the stage for a range of immersive experiences at Qualia. From spa treatments overlooking the ocean to sailing adventures around the Whitsundays, guests can tailor their stay to create unforgettable memories. The resort’s focus on wellness and relaxation ensures a rejuvenating escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Qualia includes a whole range of activities at no extra cost, some sunset cruises to secluded island drop off. I would suggest booking in as many of these freebies as possible.

Intercontinental Resort: On Hayman Island, adventure and luxury go hand in hand. With a plethora of water sports, guided reef tours, and scenic helicopter rides, guests can customise their stay to be as action-packed or laid-back as they desire. The resort’s commitment to providing a holistic island experience makes it an ideal destination for those seeking both relaxation and exploration. Other than a few guided walks, fish feeding and a water sports area, you will need to pay for all of these activities.

Conclusion:
In the battle of paradises, both Qualia Resort on Hamilton Island and Intercontinental Resort on Hayman Island emerge as champions in their own right. The choice between the two ultimately depends on your preferences – whether you seek the intimate tranquility of Qualia or the expansive luxury and family-friendly atmosphere of Intercontinental Resort. Whichever you choose, rest assured that both will leave a mark on your heart. My suggestion would be that if you don’t have children, or can get some time away from your children, then go make Qualia your vacation home. If you have little ones in tow then Hayman, or ave already been to Qualia, they you will most certainly be blown away with a trip to Intercontinental Resort on Hayman Island.
