Turns out I have more in common with Drew Barrymore, J-Lo and Kim Kardashian then I thought! In fact, we have all tried the same body sculpting system and from what I am told, they all love it!
EmSculpt is a non-invasive body treatment clinically proven to build muscle and burn fat. This 30-minute treatment is the equivalent to doing 20,000 crunches (or having 20,000 muscle contractions). Before you roll your eyes and tell me this is too good to be true, hear me out… EmSculpt requires four initial sessions over two weeks, and then a follow up session at your 8 week review. It is an intense and effective treatment, and when backed up by consistent exercise and a healthy diet, it can offer incredible results. I want to stress that you cannot expect EmSculpt to do all the work for you, but you can use it in tandem with the good you are already doing for your body. EmSculpt can enhance and compliment all the other healthy lifestyle choices you are making.
When I went to my local SILK Laser Clinic late last year, to commence the initial two weeks of treatments, I had no idea what to expect. My consultant Dotty greeted me with a smile and went over all the important details and contraindications. She explained how the system worked and how my body would feel during. We took some before photos, so that in a few months once my treatments were completed, I could check back and see the results I had achieved. Once I was laying on the treatment bed, Dotty strapped the machine to my body with the paddles sitting under the straps.
The EmSculpt uses patented HIFEM technology (high intensity focused electromagnetic), and can work at different percentages of capacity, with 100% being the strongest and most effective. Ideally you want to have the machine working at 100% as soon as possible, but your body does need a few seconds to warm up to the sensation the EmSculpt machine creates. You can instantly feel your body working under the paddles of the machine and let me tell you this is not a walk in the park. I would describe the feeling as intense, but manageable. Put it like this, you know it is doing something! The sensations of my muscles contracting felt quite like pre labour, and I found the best thing to do was to breathe through my muscles contracting. They came in waves with little breaks in between.
After the treatment was over, I was able to go about my day as normal, because there was no downtime. I felt great! I could feel by the evening that my stomach muscles felt firmer along the sides. My muscles were a little tender to touch though this caused no problems. At the gym I noticed that I could hold myself better and I had less back pain then I did before the treatment. I think it has worked as a great addition to the hard work I have been putting in during my gym sessions over the past few months. Everything I have been doing has combined and resulted in me looking leaner, stronger, taller – my posture is improved and overall, I am happier.
This treatment is great for anyone who is either looking to commence regular exercise or is already engaged in it. Someone looking to build muscle, tone, and strengthen. There is no downtime, so you do not need to take days off from the gym to recover. EmSculpt can treat abs and core, butt lift, biceps, triceps, and calves, and is ideal for post-partum mothers with stomach separation (Diastasis Recti).
Below are my before and after photos which show the results of my EmSculpt Abs treatment, combined with good diet, and exercise (five to six 45-minute exercise sessions per week). I am so happy with how my body has transformed over the past few months.
SILK is the national EmSculpt Partner, and they are offering 30% OFF on treatment packages, making the cost $1259.30 (for five sessions), for a limited time only.
You can find more information regarding EmSculpt on the SILK website.
