Our family recently enjoyed a fun filled weekend on the Gold Coast, staying at the Novotel Surfer’s Paradise. It was a quick trip, but we fit a lot into our time there.
After arriving late on a Friday we headed straight across the street to KooKoo Teppanyaki which was a lot of fun. It was the first time our family had experienced this sort of entertainment before.
The following day we had a fully day to enjoy the hotel and all it had to offer. We started the morning off with a buffet breakfast at the hotels The Restaurant. Then we headed to the tennis court to play tennis and basket ball, this was a huge hit wth our family. Next we headed straight to the pool for a swim and some time in the spa. The pool was beautiful decorated, and the water was really warm. We were also able to order food and cocktails to be delivered to us.
Next we went to the hotels BLVD Cafe/Bar to pick up a picnic hamper that we had ordered. This is a new experience for the hotel, and one that I would highly recommend. The hamper came with a blanket, and was filled with absolutely delicious food. The hotel concierge also gave us some body boards, and we headed off for the famous Surfer’s Paradise beach for the afternoon.
Once we had finished our picnic and enjoyed a swim, we headed back to the hotel to sit on the balcony of our room and relax. Both of our interconnecting rooms were incredibly comfortable and it was lovely to be able to fit and look at the ocean.
We finished up the day with dinner at BLVD Cafe/Bar. We ordered a mix of tapas and pizza, everything tasted delicious. As we are Accor members we were able to get a 50% discount off of our food.
