Modern maternity wear that’s comfortable and stylish

Gone are the days of dull and drab maternity clothing, the ones that you wouldn’t want to be caught dead in. Clothing that only lasts a month or two, to ‘get you through’ your pregnancy, and then is gleefully thrown away.

Maternity wear has come along way over the years, even in the past five years since my first pregnancy with Ari. Baby bump friendly clothing is so trendy and functional that designers are making it possible to not only dress your new curves in amazing threads, but also continue to wear them into breastfeeding and beyond. There is so much on offer and I am here to show you my favourite bump friendly fashion stores. The best of the best….

Legoe Heritage a premium Australian lifestyle brand, which creates beautifully put together yet relaxed maternity and nursing clothes. They fit in perfectly with a modern day Mother’s lifestyle. Legoe (or ā€œLe-goā€ as it’s pronounced,) means family. Above I am wearing – Ryder Dress Stripe in Charcoal and Vaucluse T Dress in Grey.

Maive and Bo ā€“ Is a stunning store started on the Sunshine Coast, ā€˜made for bumps and boobsā€™ as they say. Malloryā€™s dream was to create fashionable and affordable maternity wear and she has done just that. I personally love the fit of their clothing. Here I am wearing the Harper Stretch Winter Wrap in White Floral and Harper Stretch Winter Wrap in Navy Floral.

Pink Blush Maternity – Fashion meets Motherhood, with clothing designed specifically with Mums in mind. They provide provide looks that are stylish, trendy and affordable. Above I am wearing Waverleigh Taupe V Neck Maxi Dress, Ivory Knot Back Sweater, Taupe Knit High Waisted Legging and Beige Linen Maternity Pants.

Bonds ā€“ A staple amongst Australian families for decades, Bonds is renowned for its quality and great prices. They have a whole range of options available to suit pregnant Motherā€™s. If you search the maternity section you will find beautiful underwear options, and then in womenā€™s wear you can find comfortable outfits to work for your pregnant and post baby shape. Here I am wearing Bonds Tee and Fashion Denim Short.

The Stork Nest ā€“ Every bump friendly wardrobe needs a selection of comfortable maternity singlets. Ones which can be carried through into feeding and are friendly for that too. The Bravado range found on The Stork Nest is perfect for just that. Here I am wearing Bravado Designs Classic Nursing Cami in White.

Cotton On ā€“ Not a Maternity specific brand, but a fantastic store to buy your basics from.  I get a lot of my V-neck t shirts from here, as well as comfortable two-piece suits.  Here I am wearing Super Soft Mock Crew Top and Super Soft Short.

Lots of love,
