Our family recently enjoyed a fun filled weekend on the Gold Coast, staying at the Novotel Surfer’s Paradise. It was a quick trip, but we fit a lot into our time there. After arriving late on a Friday we headed straight across the street to KooKoo Teppanyaki which was a lot of fun. It was…Read More
So it was my birthday a couple of weeks ago and I turned 36, which was interesting to me as I have realised over the past year that in fact I think I am perpetually 27!
Every birthday is a moment to pause, reflect, assess. A mental reflection of where I have been, what I have achieved, where I am, where I want to go, and so on.
So I have been thinking about life lessons, and decided why not make it 36…Read More
I recently enjoyed a Mummy and me photoshoot on one of my favourite Sunshine Coast beaches, Kawana Beach. My husband was suppose to be at the shoot, but at the last minute he couldn’t make it due to work. So, I decided to go ahead anyway and enjoy this special time with my children, creating memories we could look back on for years to come. I absolutely love these photos, they are so natural and playful, and they were taken during the school holidays which is one of my favourite times with my children. I really love that I can look back and remember these beautiful school holidays where I was deep in enriching my children’s lives.Read More

I am so excited to be writing this blog to tell you all about the revolutionary nail system by Sistaco! I was recently introduced to the product and couldn’t wait to share it with you.
As a busy Mother to three young children, I was most excited to hear about Sistaco as I like my nails to look tidy, but I find it so hard to get into a salon to regularly maintain them. Not to mention the cost involved with the upkeep of salon nails. Prior to using Sistaco I would paint my nails myself with regular nail polish, but it would only be a matter of 24 hours before they would start to chip, break away and not look so tidy anymore. Not ideal right!Read More
We recently celebrated Ari’s 8th birthday, and for the second year in a row he wanted to have his birthday party at Timezone! You might remember that last year we threw our Nintendo loving boy a party at the same venue. I blogged it here. Well, Ari loved his 7th birthday party so much that he wanted to do it again.
Timezone is the ultimate, arcade style amusement park, with something for all ages! It’s bright, it’s fun, it’s one of our favourite places to go as a family. Our local Timezone can be found at the Sunshine Plaza in Maroochydore, but Timezone is located in 7 countries across the world.Read More
We recently celebrated Rosie’s 3rd birthday with the an absolutely beautiful enchanted fairy themed party! I cannot believe that the baby of our family is three! As you know I absolutely love children’s birthday parties, especially spoiling my children and their friends with a wonderful day. There was so much excitement in our house during the lead up to Rosie’s special day.
When planning a party I like to have a theme as find that it give me direction in the planning, and of course is really fun. When choosing the theme, first of all I come up with some ideas based on what the children like at the moment, and then I give them the options to choose from. We recently visited Disneyland in California where we met Tinker Bell, my girls absolutely loved her, so I knew that a fairy would be very popular amongst them. The children also really enjoyed the movie Pete Pan and Wendy which was recently out of Netflix. They all jumped on the idea of an enchanted fairy theme, so we got to planning.Read More
We recently had our annual family photographs taken but the wonderful Still By Kaiti. Kaiti is a family and lifestyle photographer based on the Sunshine Coast. She grew up in our beautiful area and loves to be outside taking photographs, this shines through in her work. Kaiti has a natural eye for light and she captured our particular sunset perfectly. On the day of our family shoot was our 11 year wedding anniversary, so it was particularly important to me that we captured this special time in our lives with our three young children. We felt so relaxed around Kaiti and you can tell that she loves for her subjects to get caught up in the moment, and forget that she is even there. In Kaiti’s words, “This isn’t about a photo session, or even the pictures, it’s about you and your loved ones.”Read More
